CoreFuel — Privacy Policy

CoreFuel is a nutrition and health app published by Fittest tech ltd. (“we”, “us”), a company registered in the United Kingdom. This policy covers the CoreFuel iOS and Android app (bundle identifier ai.calofit.app) and the CoreFuel services behind it. It does not cover the separate Fittest gym app, which has its own policy.

What we collect, and why

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. CoreFuel contains no advertising and no third-party tracking or analytics SDKs. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Health data, specifically

CoreFuel reads health data only after you grant permission, and only the types listed above.
Health data is used solely to show you your own figures and to compute your targets and readiness score. It is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with data brokers.
CoreFuel writes back to Apple Health or Health Connect only what you record in the app — a weight or height you enter, and a workout you log. It never writes anything you have not entered yourself.
Health data read from Apple Health is not stored in iCloud.
You can withdraw health access at any time in the Health app (iOS) or Health Connect (Android). CoreFuel keeps working; the figures that came from those sources simply stop updating.

Who processes your data for us

We use a small number of processors, each bound to act only on our instructions:

Processor	What it handles
OpenAI	Meal photographs, voice recordings, typed meal descriptions and check-in photographs are sent for analysis and transcription. OpenAI processes them to return a result and does not use them to train its models.
Open Food Facts	When you scan a barcode, the product number alone is looked up. No account information is sent.
Apple / Google	Sign-in, push notification delivery, and subscription billing. We never receive your payment details.
Our own servers	Hosted in the EU/UK. Crash and error reporting runs on infrastructure we operate ourselves, not a third-party service.

Where your data is held, and for how long

Your data is stored on our servers in the EU/UK. Processing by OpenAI may take place outside the UK/EEA under appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses).
We keep what you have logged for as long as your account exists, because it is the history the app exists to show you.
Voice recordings are transcribed and discarded; we do not retain the audio.
Crash and error reports are kept for up to 90 days.
If you delete your account, see below.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app, at You → Delete account. This is permanent and immediate. It removes your account and everything keyed to it — meals, check-ins, photographs, plans, goals and health data we hold — from our servers. Where you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to revoke the app’s token.

Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Only you can do that, in your phone’s settings. We cannot cancel it for you.

You can also export everything we hold about you from You → Export my data.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your data, and to data portability. The app gives you access, export and deletion directly; for anything else, write to support@fittestapp.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.

Our lawful bases are: contract (providing the app you signed up for), explicit consent (health data, photographs, voice, and notifications — each withdrawable at any time), and legitimate interests (keeping the service working and secure, and diagnosing faults).

Children

CoreFuel is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how your data is used, tell you in the app before it takes effect.
